The Dash for Cash concept sees teams of 2 slug it out for a cash prize pool. The payout is determined by the size of the field, the more teams competing the higher the payout. The success of these comps is very dependent on anglers getting involved.
Austackle Dash for Cash Bream 2013
This is a unique One day team competition with the potential of big cash payouts.More boats + More cash We will have an overall Big Bream Prize Pack and Austackle are providing show bags with bream lures at the start of the day as well. The bigger the field the bigger the payout.
More boats more cash. Less boats less cash.
With the gap in tournaments in Queensland, at the peak of the bream season, this is your chance to have a crack at the great Bream fishing the Gold Coast has to offer at this time of the year.
Bream Event Cost: $220 per team, of 2 anglers which includes lunch, drinks ($10 per head) *200 entry goes to prize pool.
- Austackle Dash for Cash Bream Bream: June 9 2013 at the Volunteer Marine Rescue Base Seaworld Drive The Spit Registration in the day from 5.45am enter VMR from side gate in the beach. Safety gear and live well etx required as per ABT rules. Boats checked from 6.15 am briefing 6.30am Field away by 6.45 -7.00am sharp
- Classic Grand final spots up for grabs
Payout Schedule is 60% * back to the field (* entry fee ex lunch)
So do you think that you have what it takes to take out this cash competition?
Cost $220.00 per team $20, entry $10 per head for Subway Lunch, Drinks and venue (this is a reduction previous to 2012 year Costing $260)
Top 10% placegetters receiving Classic Grand Final places
Boundary The boundaries will be the same as the Easter Bream Russell Island Power Lines to Nerang river thus minimising the perceived advantage of bigger boats getting to the bay. (Over 70% of our feedback specifically on the boundary supported this). This also makes it a truly Gold Coast Comp.
Teams: 2 per team and can include u/16 however u/16 cannot qualify for Classic Grand Final
Payout
1-2 Boats 100% prize pool goes to 1st (this is an unlikely scenario)
3-20 Boats Pays 1st to 3rd (this is a change based on feedback we used to pay only 1st-3rd for a 1-30 Boat Field) 1st 50% 2nd 30% and 3rd 20% of Prize Pool
21 Boats and Upwards we will pay to 1st– 5th 1st 40% 2nd 30% 3rd 15% 4th 10% 5th 5% of Prize Pool
This is a different distribution to previous Dash for Cashes that see a more even distribution (similar to Easter bream) rather than 1st being ‘stacked’ this is also in response to feedback. Majority of feedback on payout wanted a 1-5 payout this is not really viable with 20 boats or less. (We previously had a 1st -3rd payout for up to 30 Boats)
Most of all to keep this event going we need your support More boats = More Cash

Dash for Cash Flathead
2013 will see the club build on the the concept for a Dash for Cash Flathead Comp. after a successful trial in 2011. An exciting one day shoot-out with the potential of a huge cash prize pool. The comp will operate under the same rules as the Bream comp with the top 5 Flathead per team submitted on the capture sheet. It is a Photo and release competition.
