ABOUT
This vibrant club has a proud history that dates back to 1976 when Club founder Don Woodford harnessed the interest of locals keen to improve their fishing. Right from the ‘get go’ the club’s ethos focused on teaching people how to fish or how to fine tune their fishing skills.
This is still part of the club today with regular guest speakers and club members willing to share their knowledge and experience. Alongside this there are regular club ‘get togethers’ and club member fishing comps along with a monthly and annual catch comp. The club also runs some great marquee fishing tournaments including the Gold Coast Flathead Classic.
The membership includes anglers of all standards so whether you are a beginner or an old salt a boatie or a bank fisho the Gold Coast Sportfishing Club welcomes you.
