Points System for Inshore/Offshore champions:
The aim is to catch all 12 species allocated.
1 point allocate per cm of each species submitted. You can submit any of the species at any time during the season. Once you submit a fish you can them submit a larger one at any time during the remainder of the season i.e you catch a 62cm Flathead in June and submit that fish but then catch one that measures 82cm in February then you submit that fish and your points will be upgraded.
You can submit fish and upgrade your catches as often as you like throughout the season.
All fish submitted need to photographed on a brag mat and have the token “GCSCFC 22/23” clearly visible. The length of the fish must be clearly visible to be eligible. Where a specific token has been issued for a club sanctioned competition then these fish may be entered under that token. The Champion anglers will be declared as the angler who has the highest cumulated points over the course of the season.
Species of The Month
Each species has been allocated a month and the largest fish of that species submitted for that month will be awarded a $100 voucher from one of our Tackle Store sponsors.
Entries will be taken from the 1st of each month until the last day of the calendar month. Prizes will be presented at the next Club Night. All fish submitted need to photographed on a brag mat and have the token “GCSCFC 22/23” clearly visible. The length of the fish must be clearly visible to be eligible. In the event of a tie the fish submitted first (by calendar date) shall be declared the winner.
In the event that no fish are submitted for the target species then the voucher will jackpot each month until a winner is declared
For Example – Flathead is the Species of the Month for September. The largest Flathead caught during the month of September will be the winner.
Important note here – if for example you have submitted an 82cm Flathead already for points in August and then catch a 62cm in September and it is the largest Flathead submitted you will win the $100 voucher but it will not upgrade your annual points tally
Classic Catch of The Month
Entries for Classic catch of the month are of fish of any species that can be caught anywhere in the world and do not have to be on a brag mat. Simply submit your Classic catch and the members will vote on the best capture at the club night. The winner will receive a $50 voucher from one of our Tackle store sponsors. In the event of no submissions it will jackpot to the next month.
