Club Mixed Bag Comp wrap up

A great Sunday greeted the members as they met at the clubhouse this morning for a day of chasing a mixed bag of five target species; Bream, Tarpon, Trevally,Tailor and Flathead. Chasing down fiver targetted species proved to be quite the challenge and lucky for all teams you could substitute a species with a wild card or rogue fish. Personally I wish I had remembered this before tossing back non target species with out taking a snapshot! Even our first place getter Tom and Terry used a rogue to get their five with Tarpon proving to be the fish in the too hard basket for not only them but the whole field! The team won a $150 Doug Burts Tackle World Gift Voucher .Tom also took out biggest bream at 32cm , biggest Tailor at 42cm and biggest Trevally, well fished Tom, you can see why this young angler is ranking right up there on the annual points table.

In second place winning a $100 Tackle World gift voucher was Danny Sands who fished with his son Cooper and ring in Jake Neilson team ‘ABC Childcare’ also used the rogue to get their five with Cooper landing  the biggest Flathead for the day.

Christian Pulvirenti and Christine Hunt fished well to finish in 3rd place missing out on the Bream and Tarpon but including a rogue

Moses Perch to get 4/5 . All our biggest of the target species took home prize packs thanks to our club sponsors TT /ZMan Lures and Jinkai.

It was great to see some of our new members join in on the fun and also the families that joined as for a BBQ to round out the day. Remember these club comps are not only for those chasing club points but all members, it  is a great way to get to know other members and learn new tips and techniques and evena few new spots! There is no entry fee and always a good bounty of prizes today we gave away $600 worth of Vouchers and prizes thanks to our sponsors TT/ZMan Lures, Jinkai.
