The Winners Story Austackle Bream Classic

Our day started out fishing the Shearwater canals in the Northern end of the Broadwater, We had a quick prefish there on Sunday last week and

found that the area was holding good consistent size fish and the water seemed clearer in here then other areas. The morning started out very slow with the first fish only hitting the net at 9.30am. The next 30 minutes the fish came on as the wind picked up getting our bag within 6 casts and upgrading 3 times after with one of these fish was the big bream for the tournament caught on a Zipbait Skinny Pop top water lure.

The rest of the day was spent fishing in Sovereign Island again targeting the clearer water further up the canal system. Fishing again with the Zipbait Skinny Pop and Zipbait Khamsin Tiny DR on Lox rods targeting Pontoons and rocky edges we caught another 20+ legal fish and upgraded 3 more times.

The Gold Coast Easter Classic is always a favourite on the Bream calender for most bream anglers and this year was extra special for me fishing and taking out the tournament with my 8 year Nephew Jordan. A big thanks to everyone who helps make this tournament happen and my Sponsors Simrad, Triton Boats/ Nitro Marine, Zipbaits Lures, Lox Rods for there great support in 2013.
